Chartink-style scanning for US stocks

Looking for Chartink for US stocks?

Chartink is a popular scanner for Indian stocks, and its own FAQ says it covers NSE stocks. Chalni is built for the same job on US stocks: scan NASDAQ and NYSE stocks with dropdown rules or plain English, then test each scan on data it never saw.

The short answer: Chartink is for Indian NSE stocks. Chalni is for US stocks (NASDAQ and NYSE) first, with more markets planned.

Who this is for

This page is for traders who learned scanning on Chartink and now trade US stocks: Indians investing in the US, NRIs in the US, the UK or the Gulf, and anyone who wants a Chartink-style screener for NASDAQ and NYSE stocks.

What will feel familiar

  • Build a scan from dropdown rules: pick an indicator, a condition and a value.
  • Ready-made scans for the setups you know: NR7, inside bars, Supertrend, 20-day breakouts, volume spikes and more.
  • A scan runs on the whole market in one go and lists every stock that matches.
  • Alerts for your scans are planned for launch: email, Telegram, phone or webhook.

What Chalni adds

  • Plain EnglishType "close above 20 day high and volume above 2x average" and Chalni builds the rules for you. You can see and change every rule.
  • An exam for every scanEach scan is tested on older data (practice), then on newer data it never saw (exam), with trading costs. You see if it still worked.
  • "Why no results?"A funnel shows how many stocks are left after each rule, so you know which rule is too strict.
  • Your languageEvery scan is explained back in 12 languages, including Spanish, German, Japanese and Korean.
  • Fair prices by countryA free plan, and Pro priced for each country instead of one US price for everyone.

The honest differences

  • Chalni is in early access. The live demo uses made-up sample stocks, so you can try every feature but not trade from it.
  • At launch, Chalni uses licensed end-of-day US data. That suits swing traders and investors. If you scan every minute during the day, Chartink-style intraday scanning is not part of the launch.
  • Chartink's FAQ says its premium plan gives real-time data for NSE stocks. Chalni does not cover live intraday data at launch.

Bring your formulas

Chalni plans to let you paste the scan formulas you already use and run them on US stocks. Until then, most popular scans take a few seconds to rebuild with the dropdowns or one plain-English line.
